Red Pearl

We have been in Michigan for 10 days now. It has NOT been boat or beach weather. The temperatures have been in the high 40’s and low 50’s. I definitely did not pack enough warm clothing! We have spent our time cleaning, organizing, cleaning, exploring and cleaning!

Finally, on Sunday, the boat was clean and the weather was better (55 degrees!! But clear and Sunny). We decided to launch for the first time in 2025. We left our slip, went over to the Marina and got fuel, then headed down the St. Joseph River and out to Lake Michigan. We anchored the boat and had lunch and then headed back.

Dea is still recovering from her rotator cuff repair, so we decided this summer she is the Pilot and Larry gets to handle the lines. We made it back to the Marina and the Dock without incident. Dea was able to dock the boat going slower than slow. No damage was done and no tears were shed! We are counting it a sucess for the first time out in 9 months!
