Day Tripping

Last weekend we started our Looping adventure with a Day Trip to South Haven, MI. South Haven is about a 3 hour trip North of our Marina. We launched from our marina without incident and made our way out to the lake. It was a beautiful day with “calm seas”.

We made it to South Haven and day docked our boat at the Municipal Marina. We got out and explored the quaint town.

We came upon a fun car show, and in particular an older model Thunderbird! (Dea is partial to Thunderbirds, but also Mustangs! Her first car was a ’65 Mustang:))

After wandering around, we grabbed lunch on a “Riverboat” restaurant and watched boats cruise on by. We then returned to Red Pearl and maneuvered out of our tight docking space and cruised the 3 hours back to our Marina. This was a great sample taste of what Looping might look like!
