Sooo, we kind of stink at this blog thing. We have had great intentions of keeping everyone updated on all our outings, but…

The summer has flown by and we are now 1 week and counting from our launch. And because we can never do anything in a straight-forward way, we have to make it complicated. We wanted to move the boat out of Lake Michigan over the Labor Day holiday. Our plan was (still is) to move south down the Illinois River, to the Mississippi River (they meet around St, Louis). Then take the Ohio River over to the Tennessee River. Since we can’t go into the Gulf until after Hurricane season, our plan was to stay at a Marina on Pickwick Lake in Tennessee and spend several weeks exploring that area. Unfortunately, Larry has torn his rotator cuff! So once we park the boat we are returning home for him to have a rotator cuff repair!

We are hopeful that we are just missing out on our time exploring that part of the country, and we hope to get back on track and head south to the Gulf at Mobile, AL after Thanksgiving. We will keep you all (or ya’ll) posted on his rehab. We also will keep you updated in the next few weeks as we make our way to Pickwick Lake.
