When we last left you, we were waiting on the electrician, who did not show! He did come the next morning and took a look and said he thought it was our battery charger. Good news! That was a pretty easy replacement. Then he said, “Oh no! We don’t carry this kind, we will have to special order it and since it is Friday, it probably won’t arrive until late Tuesday.” We would be off our schedule by 5 days! We were pretty upset, but what are you going to do? We want a boat that starts!
He then said, “Let me just go double check.” By some miracle he had what we needed! B.O.A.T (iykyk), and we were back in business.
Saturday at Sunrise we left with 2 other “buddy boats” to make our way south. The day started out overcast and chilly but turned into a beautiful day.
We also saw wild goats on the aptly named goat Island.
We made our way through 3 locks today without too much waiting or trouble. We also passed 4 barges on their way up river.
We ended our day at Midway Marina in Fulton, MI. Tied up, and took a short walk. Plan to turn in early and get up before the sun tomorrow.
