Red Pearl

Today was a long but fascinating day! We left our anchorage under good conditions, but then hit some thick fog. We slowed our roll for a few hours until it cleared. We continued south until we hit Mobile, AL. It was FASCINATING to see the industrial complex up close. Most interesting was the cranes unloading shipping containers off huge ships straight onto trucks.

We made our way to a Marina in Fairhope, AL. We had dinner at a restaurant about 100 yards from our Marina but a 2 mile drive because of the water canals. We took our dinghy “Mini Pearl” over and had an amazing seafood dinner!
