We have settled into a Marina in Dania Beach, Florida for a few weeks. This little marina is about 2 minutes from a great beach (Much to Dea’s Joy!). We can see the water/Beach from to top of the boat.

Miami and Little Havana are an easy Uber ride away. We booked a Little Havana food tour. We were able to sample some great Cuban food and culture on our excursion. Our guide, Bianca was fascinating. She came to Miami from Cuba via Mexico seeking asylum. She was a doctor in Cuba working with AIDs patients making $18 a month. Now she is in the US and working as a translator and tour guide. We sampled emanadas, Cuban sandwiches, mojitos, churros, Cuban coffee and sugar cane juice.

Once again, we saw several chickens just roaming free. We learned fro Bianca that the chickens are a symbol of freedom to the Cubans.

We also learned about Cuban cigars. Overall our day in Little Havana was great! We are really loving this Looping adventure, especially when we get to slow in down a little and take in the local culture!
